The Splash Page

Remember the cool '90s with the animated gif icons, the ugly Yahoo white page and no trace of Google... It was the HTML decade. The hyperlinks fad. The splash page epoch. Now that we've got ourselves in the teens (2k-ten, right?) of another century, the splash page is no more than a nostalgia, or so we'd like to think. Because it still turns out some web people will insist on hiding their Joomla sites behind a splash page. They insist because they find that huge picture, or animation, or... something, so... impressive.
Unfortunately, googlebots use to sometimes stumble on splash pages. And when they do, then they mark the event with a minus.
Furthermore, the entire PHP construct of a Joomla site will have to suffer the distortions of the menu linking structure because of that index.html intruder.
One more thing: there are clever ways to integrate a splash page into Joomla's frontend component. Doing this will save us (robots and programmers) a heap of headaches, will save the web site owners bad marks with Google, helping their sites up in the search ranks.
Ultimately will create an illusion of the nineties' nostalgia, without the bad code in the way. Everyone will get happy, more or less illusory.
Gotta wrap up here. Guess must do such an illusion right away.
