1st March, Springtime...

Last Updated on Monday, 01 March 2010 15:51 Written by Georg Monday, 01 March 2010 15:49

Yes, not that those stuck in airports or on the autobahn would appreciate this blog too much. But our calendars are indicating March the 1st and that's already a spell of hope... Oh, maybe this term is deprecated, then the spirit of sping, there you go!

Some little robot, named Spirit, very popular on our planet, got stuck on planet Mars, for months, and this not because of snows, though there are puddles on Mars. Okay, let's not veer too much, shall we? Springtime is here! Spirit (the rover) sent us some high resolution pictures (where "us" means NASA.JPL as the "root" and anyone else from the public as "subdirs"). Take a moment to see the small green spell of spring from Mars. If you don't mind, use this as a wallpaper calendar on your desktop (given that it matches the resolutions offered).

Say you have to clone a Joomla site. If you do that through normal SSH, or [S]FTP if you're having time, and phpmyadmin, then, when coming the next Joomla upgrade, you'll have to do that by hand: same SSH, or FTP.

Here's a way to clone a Joomla site while keeping it under Fantastica script install and inherent one click button upgrades follow-ups:

JP Pub, Beer Community Oriented

Last Updated on Tuesday, 07 July 2009 13:14 Written by Georg Monday, 15 June 2009 00:00

The JP Pub Theme. FREE to use Joomla! template. Some visitors on the forums were asking about a Joomla template suited for bars', or pubs', websites. Well, well, what's a pub to be for the web? Possibly a community site. This made us think through the glass of beer, while keeping our mind outside of its inner circle, so to say. This JP_Pub theme works well with the following extensions: CBuilder, Kunena Forums, EventList, and many more you may find on extensions.joomla.org.

The GNU/GPL covering the Joomla! core and related coding we've been inserting in jp_pub by Joomla!People.
